Tour award-wining wineries: Tour and taste your way through some of the best wineries in the world in Sonoma and Napa wine country. Get in touch with nature: Walk among the ancient redwoods towering 260 feet high in the natural wonder known as Muir Woods. Just a few miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge, the 550-acre preserve offers plenty of solitude, interpretive displays and programs, and easy to challenging hiking trails. For the adventuresome, try tandem hang gliding from the top of beautiful Mt. Tamalpais. 25-minute drive.
Enjoy the great outdoors: Point Reyes National Seashore encompasses 28 miles of California coast line with hiking trails, winding roads, green valleys and sandy beaches. Perfect for an all-day bike ride or scenic drive. Discover eclectic shops, art galleries, fascinating historical interests, and spectacular natural beauty amidst the regions many

Discover a heavenly island: A short ferry ride from nearby Tiburon, Angel Island State Park offers great hiking trails, plus captivating military and cultural history. Three thousand years ago the island was a fishing and hunting site for Coastal Miwok Indians. It was later a haven for Spanish explorer Juan de Ayala, a cattle ranch, a processing center for thousands of early 20th Century immigrants, and a U.S. Army post. Explore the island by mountain bike, sea kayak or TramTours. 20-minute drive to the ferry.

Visit a cultural landmark: Master architect Frank Lloyd Wright’s final masterpiece, the Marin County Civic Center, is a nationally registered landmark, home to two grand performing arts theatres, and so much more. With a library, conservation gardens, and art galleries it’s Marin County’s cultural Mecca and well worth a visit. 5-minute drive.
Experience the thrill of racing: Located in nearby Sonoma, the Infineon Raceway is one of North America’s largestmotorsports complexes. From NASCAR to motor bike to vintage car races, 
race fans will get their fill of speed and excitement. Make a dream come true and try the track yourself at the Jim Russell Racing Drivers School. 10-minute drive.
Zig, zag and get wild: Six Flags Marine World in Vallejo is America's only combination wildlife park, oceanarium, and theme park. Ride on some of the fastest, loopiest, and scariest rollercoasters around. Get up close and personal with dolphins and seals. Feed a giraffe or have a lorikeet perch on your arm. The fun never ends! 20-minute drive.
