Discover a heavenly island: A short ferry ride from nearby Tiburon, Angel Island State Park offers great hiking trails, plus captivating military and cultural history. It was later a haven for Spanish explorer Juan de Ayala, a cattle ranch, a processing center for thousands of early 20th Century immigrants, and a U.S. Army post. Zig, zag and get wild: Six Flags Marine World in Vallejo is America's only combination wildlife park, oceanarium, and theme park. Ride on some of the fastest, loopiest, and scariest rollercoasters around. Get up close and personal with dolphins and seals. Feed a giraffe or have a lorikeet perch on your arm.
